By Aline Cristina de Sousa, Valter Paulo Neves Miranda and Naruna Pereira Rocha.
Abstract
This scoping review aims to map and characterize the scientific evidence on physical activity, physical exercise, and body practice programs developed within the Brazilian Unified Health System (Sistema Único de Saúde – SUS) for adults and older adults. The review will describe the main characteristics of the interventions, the outcomes assessed, the principal findings, and the participation and roles of Physical Education professionals across different levels of health care. Particular attention will be given to how these programs are implemented within public health services and to their potential contributions to physical activity levels, physical fitness, functional capacity, quality of life, well-being, and other health-related outcomes.
