Opportunities and limitations of computed tomography in the early diagnosis of ischemic stroke
By Fazliddinova E'zoza and Jamalov Muhammad Solih.
Abstract
The study examines current strategies and limitations of computed tomography in the early diagnosis of ischemic stroke. It highlights the evolution of diagnostic criteria, application of scoring systems like ASPECTS, assessment of imaging changes, and integration of semi-automated interpretation. Findings demonstrate that CT is reliable for detecting major morphological changes, but has low sensitivity to small lesions in the initial hours. Enhanced accuracy is recommended through combined and standardized diagnostic approaches.
