Clinical and functional characteristics of motor and postural impairments during the early and late recovery periods following ischemic stroke
By Мухсина Фарходовна Хайриева.
Abstract
The clinical pattern and functional manifestations of motor impairments following ischemic stroke vary according to the affected vascular territory. The study findings presented here showed a predominance of pyramidal motor deficits in carotid territory strokes, whereas impaired coordination predominated in vertebrobasilar territory strokes. Comparing these differences during the early and late recovery periods is important for identifying the clinical syndrome profile of motor impairments and determining the focus of clinical and functional assessment.
