The Interface of Human Anatomy and Community Medicine: An Integrative Narrative Literature Review Exploring Structural–Functional Foundations, Population Health, Disease Prevention and Their Relevance from the Perspective of Homoeopathic Medicine "From Anatomical Structure and Function to Community Health and Individualised Care"
By Prof. Dr. Satyendra Pandey and Prof. Dr. Sandeep Bhargava.
Abstract
Background
Human anatomy provides the structural foundation for understanding the organization of the human body, while Community Medicine extends this understanding from the individual to populations, emphasizing disease prevention, health promotion, epidemiology, environmental determinants and equitable healthcare. Homoeopathic medicine, in contrast, traditionally emphasizes the individualisation of the patient through the totality of characteristic symptoms, constitutional considerations and contextual factors. Although these disciplines have developed within different conceptual frameworks, their intersection provides an interdisciplinary opportunity to examine health across structural, functional, individual and population levels.
