Habilidades emocionales y de comunicación para la práctica clínica: un modelo de formación para estudiantes y profesionales de la atención en salud
By Carola Kweksilber.
Abstract
Introduction
The incorporation of emotional and communication skills into the training of health professionals is a widely documented need in the specialized literature, although integrating these skills into the curriculum remains a challenge for educational institutions. In response to this issue, a training model was designed to foster the development of these competencies in health sciences students.
Objective
To describe and justify a model aimed at promoting the development of emotional and communication skills in health sciences students through a reflective methodology centered on clinical practice. Methodology: The model was designed based on a narrative review of the literature and empirical evidence from a study involving Uruguayan physicians. The proposal integrates contributions from various theoretical and methodological approaches into a comprehensive model that combines practices with documented efficacy with innovations aimed at stimulating reflection on clinical experience.
