Parents whose adult children face prison due to addiction: Is there help?
By Alison Knopf.
Abstract
We have had many — too many — chances to interview parents of adult children who lost their children to overdose deaths. Some of these parents went on to found organizations to try to help other bereaved parents, and to try to prevent addiction. These are tragic stories that, however, as some parents tell us, have redeeming powers.
