Comparative Study on the Efficacy of Intravitreal and Subconjunctival Simultaneous Injection of Conbercept Followed by Trabeculectomy Versus Intravitreal Injection of Conbercept Followed by Trabeculectomy Combined With 5-Fluorouracil (5-FU) in the Treatment of Neovascular Glaucoma (NVG)

Abstract
Purpose
To compare the efficacy of trabeculectomy preceded by simultaneous intravitreal and subconjunctival conbercept administration with that of trabeculectomy combined with 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) following intravitreal conbercept injection in patients with neovascular glaucoma (NVG).
Methods
In this comparative study, 120 patients with NVG were enrolled and allocated to two treatment groups. Regression of neovascularization of the iris (NVI) and neovascularization of the angle (NVA) following conbercept administration was assessed. Additional outcome measures included intraocular pressure (IOP), visual acuity, filtering bleb morphology, use of antiglaucoma medications, surgical success rate, and postoperative complications before and after trabeculectomy.
