Twelve-Month Efficacy and Tolerability of Netarsudil 0.02% in Korean Patients with Primary Open-Angle Glaucoma and Normal-Tension Glaucoma: A Single-Center Retrospective Study
By Choe GS, Kim SY and Jung JJ.
Abstract
Purpose
The 12-month intraocular pressure (IOP)-lowering efficacy and tolerability of netarsudil 0.02%, a Rho-kinase inhibitor, were evaluated in Korean patients with primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG), including normal-tension glaucoma (NTG).
Methods
Eighty-six patients (131 eyes) starting netarsudil at one center in November 2024-February 2025 were reviewed; entry required 3 months of follow-up, continued to 12 months. IOP was measured by Goldmann applanation tonometry at baseline and 1, 3, 6, 12 months (131, 131, 131, 107, 91 eyes). Efficacy was analyzed by diagnosis and treatment context: add-on, netarsudil added to an unchanged regimen, or switch, one agent replaced by netarsudil at that visit without washout. A linear mixed-effects model with a per-patient random intercept was used; eyes without a 12-month measurement were re-examined for discontinuation.
