Abstract
To promote the standardization of clinical diagnosis and treatment of lung cancer in China and to apply the latest evidence-based medical evidence to clinical practice, since 2018, the Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine of Shanghai Chest Hospital has taken the lead, in collaboration with more than 50 lung cancer treatment institutions and over 100 experts nationwide, to jointly draft the clinical practice guidelines for lung cancer, with annual updates. The newly added recommendations are primarily based on indications approved by the National Medical Products Administration of China. To enhance the practicality of the guideline, particular emphasis has been placed on adopting clinical research data derived from Chinese patients. Recently, the Clinical Practice Guidelines for Lung Cancer of the Oncology Society of Chinese Medical Association (2026 Edition) was published. To better present the key points of the guidelines to fellow professionals, this article provides a summary interpretation based on the latest version, covering screening, pathology and treatment for early-stage operable, locally advanced unresectable, and advanced-stage patients.
