Villoglandular Adenocarcinoma of the Cervix With Ovarian Metastasis Mimicking a Borderline Ovarian Tumor: A Rare Case Report
By Ma N, Xu X, Zhu Z and 2 others.
Abstract
This case reports rare cervical villoglandular adenocarcinoma metastasizing to the ovary with a deceptive borderline-like morphology. Diagnosis relied on matching immunohistochemistry and HPV16 DNA detection in both sites. The patient underwent surgery and chemoradiotherapy, remaining recurrence-free. This highlights the critical need for multimodal testing to distinguish such metastases from primary ovarian tumors.
