Abstract
Objective
To evaluate low-dose aspirin and calcium prescription rates among high-risk preeclampsia (PE) patients at a Brazilian tertiary hospital and identify predictors of prophylaxis failure.
Methods
Cross-sectional study conducted at a Brazilian maternity hospital, in 2025, under guidelines recommending calcium for PE prevention. We included 100 high-risk pregnant/postpartum women who initiated prenatal care before the 12th gestational week. Prescription was adequate if initiated before the 16th week. Separate multivariable logistic regressions identified independent predictors of adequacy (p<0.05).
