Analysis of Factors Influencing Postoperative Drainage Following Reduction Mammoplasty

Aim

To explore factors influencing postoperative drainage volume and duration after reduction mammoplasty for perioperative nursing.

Design

A retrospective analysis was conducted on 83 patients who underwent reduction mammoplasty between January 2023 and October 2025.

Methods

Patients' characteristics and parameters related to the surgery were recorded. Univariable and multivariable linear regression and correlation analyses were performed to identify the correlation between postoperative drainage and the variables.

Data sources

Data were extracted from routine de-identified electronic medical records.
