Abstract
Objective
to analyze the factors associated with death among hospitalized older adults with COVID-19 in Brazil.
Method

Results

Some factors were associated with death, such as: age between 75 and 84 years (OR=1.77; 95% CI=1.74-1.79) and 85 years or older (OR=3.01; 95% CI=2.96-3.06); race/ethnicity White (OR=1.11; 95% CI=1.05-1.17), Indigenous (OR=1.54; 95% CI=1.34-1.76), Brown (OR=1.28; 95% CI=1.22-1.35), and Black (OR=1.48; 95% CI=1.39-1.57); male sex (OR=1.27; 95% CI=1.25-1.28); COVID-19 vaccination (OR=0.68; 95% CI=0.67-0.69); use of invasive ventilatory support (OR=19.54; 95% CI=19.14-19.95) and non-invasive ventilatory support (OR=1.78; 95% CI=1.75-1.80).
