Abstract
Introduction
In high-performance sports, injuries directly impact athletic performance and athlete health.
Objective
To describe the incidence of injuries and explore their relationship with well-being variables, internal training load, and the menstrual cycle throughout a season in elite female futsal players.
Methods
A prospective observational cohort study was conducted with 13 professional athletes (24.30 ±2.28 years) monitored over 11 months during the 2025 season. Data on well-being were collected using the Subjective Feelings of Fatigue Scale, along with internal load and menstrual cycle phases. Additionally, data regarding the team's season and injuries occurred during the year were recorded. Statistical analysis utilized the paired t test to compare means between the week prior to the injury and the week of the injury (p<0.05).
