International Delphi Expert Panel Validation of the MSR-DFU Checklist and TRS Algorithm for Photobiomodulation and Electrical Stimulation Devices in Diabetic Foot Ulcers (Prospective Registration)
By Luis Alberto Vilcahuaman and María Teresa Arista Rivera..
Abstract
This is the prospective, pre-data-collection registration for Phase 3 of a Master's thesis in Biomedical Engineering (PUCP): the validation, via a two-round modified Delphi consensus method, of the MSR-DFU (Minimum Reporting Set for Diabetic Foot Ulcer) checklist and the Technical Robustness Score (TRS) algorithm. These instruments were developed from a completed scoping review (registered separately, retrospectively, as that phase's data collection and analysis were already performed prior to this registration). This registration covers ONLY the expert panel Consultation, which has not yet begun: no expert has been contacted, no survey response has been collected, and no Delphi-round data exists at the time of this registration. Purpose: to determine, via structured anonymous consensus among an international panel of biomedical metrology, clinical engineering, photobiomodulation, electrical stimulation, and diabetic foot specialists, whether (a) each of the 14 proposed MSR-DFU dosimetric/clinical variables should be mandatory, (b) the proposed TRS weighting scheme (60% physical dosimetry / 25% hardware-calibration / 15% clinical context) is appropriate, and (c) the proposed TRS interpretation thresholds (High Robustness >=80, Moderate 60-79, Low <60) are appropriate.
