Abstract
Alveolar soft part sarcoma (ASPS) is a rare malignant soft tissue neoplasm accounting for less than 1% of soft tissue sarcomas. It typically arises in the deep soft tissues of the extremities in adults and in the head and neck region in children. Adult cervical presentations are exceedingly rare and often clinically nonspecific. We report a case of a 45-year-old female with a painless, progressively enlarging swelling over the nape of neck and restricted neck mobility. This case highlights the role of a multimodal imaging approach and histopathological correlation in diagnosing ASPS at this unusual cervical paraspinal location.
