Influencia de las lipoproteínas en enfermedades cardiovasculares: un enfoque biomolecular
By Edgardo Samuel Barraza Verdesoto, Manuel Andrés Ávila Sarmiento and Juan Ricardo Cubides Garzón.
Abstract
Introduction
cardiovascular diseases remain one of the leading causes of mortality worldwide. It is a fact that some lipoprotein variants significantly impact the predisposition to these conditions.
Objective
to explore the impact of lipoprotein variants on the risk of cardiovascular disease through a biomolecular approach and the use of machine learning techniques.
Methods
exploratory and descriptive review that study the phenomenon of cardiovascular diseases by focusing on specific lipoprotein variants and describing their influence on these pathologies. Data were collected from the UniProt, Ensemble, and Varsome databases, covering 14,409 cases in variants associated with cardiovascular disease-associated conditions. Clustering analysis was performed, classifying the variants into three groups: pathogenic, uncertain, and benign. The following were taken into account: combined annotation-dependent depletion and the genomic evolutionary rate profile.
