Abstract
Introduction
Subfertility has become a significant global health concern. Since many causes are identifiable and treatable, early diagnosis is essential to alleviate emotional stress and the financial burden on couples. Precise prediction of ovulation is fundamental to the success of natural and artificial conception, with trans-vaginal sonography (TVS) serving as the gold standard for monitoring.
Methods
This hospital-based study was conducted from August 15, 2025 to January 15, 2026. A total of 84 subfertile women were enrolled following informed consent. Participants underwent TVS on day 2 or 3 of menstruation to assess antral follicle count (AFC) and initiate induction agents. Serial TVS was then performed from day 10 until ovulation was confirmed. The size of the dominant follicle at rupture and the specific day of the cycle were recorded.
