Danggui-Shaoyao-San and cognition in animal Alzheimer models: systematic review and multilevel meta-analysis

Retrospective, time-stamped deposit for a systematic review and multilevel meta-analysis of Danggui-Shaoyao-San (当归芍药散 / Toki-shakuyaku-san) on spatial learning in animal models of Alzheimer's disease. This review was NOT prospectively registered. The current package (revision 1, DSS-cognition-SRMA-R1-2026-10-23.zip) contains the dated protocol, search documentation, screening and risk-of-bias records, the extraction workbook, and reproducible R/metafor analysis. Primary dependency-aware multilevel REML estimate (revision 1): Hedges' g = -1.855 (95% CI -2.310 to -1.401; 55 comparisons, 27 experiments). The July 2026 archive (g = -1.90) and the 21 October 2026 revision 1 package are superseded and kept as earlier versions; see README.md. See MANIFEST.csv for per-file MD5 checksums.
