Abstract
AimThe study aimed to evaluate the early (two-month) clinical, functional, and radiographic outcomes of trapeziectomy with suture-button suspensionplasty (SBS) augmented by a palmaris longus (PL) zig-zag ligament reconstruction in thumb carpometacarpal osteoarthritis. ObjectivesThe objectives of the study were: to measure change in pain, grip strength, pinch strength, and thumb range of motion; to assess functional recovery using the QuickDASH score; and to determine maintenance of the trapezial space ratio at two months after surgery.
