Abstract
Background
Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) remains a major public health problem among married women in Indonesia. Inadequate HIV knowledge increases women’s vulnerability to HIV infection and hinders preventive behaviors. However, evidence on factors associated with HIV knowledge among married women in Indonesia remains limited.
Objective
This study aimed to analyze factors associated with HIV knowledge among married women in Indonesia.
Methods
A cross-sectional study was conducted using secondary data from the 2017 Indonesia Demographic and Health Survey (IDHS) Individual Recode dataset (IDIR71FL). A total of 21,643 married women aged 15–49 years were included. Sampling weights were applied to account for the complex survey design. Data were analyzed using Chi-square tests and multivariable logistic regression were performed. Results are presented as adjusted odds ratios (AORs) with 95% confidence intervals (CIs).
