Abstract
Breast cancer is the leading cause of oncological death among women in Paraguay. The "Pink October" campaign acts as a catalyst for early detection, yet the transition toward complex treatments, palliative care, and comprehensive support poses a multidimensional challenge. This review paper analyzes the need for a transdisciplinary therapeutic approach encompassing psychological, palliative, and spiritual support for both patients and their families facing the existential distress of diagnosis. Methodologically, a descriptive-retrospective study was conducted using official data from the Ministry of Public Health and Social Welfare (MSPyBS) at the national level and regional data from the city of Pedro Juan Caballero (Amambay). Ethical implications of clinical research are discussed under the principles of beneficence, non-maleficence, justice, and privacy, alongside guidelines for a moderate and regulated use of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Furthermore, it exhaustively addresses the historical perspective of mammary radiology, detailing the pathophysiological, genetic, and endocrine bases of epidemiologic disparity between sexes, where males account for a significantly lower percentage. Finally, an operational portfolio of intervention activities for existential accompaniment and an analytical technical glossary are proposed.
