Abstract
Abstract Background: Radiography training in resource-limited settings often lacks sufficient equipment, creating gaps in student skill development. Virtual reality simulation offers a promising alternative, providing an error-free, immersive environment where students can practice without the risks associated with ionizing radiation or patient contact. Despite growing evidence of its benefits, its perception and experience among radiography students in low-resource settings is underexplored.
Methods
A pilot cross-sectional study was conducted involving 30 undergraduate radiography students from 200L to 500L at the University of Maiduguri. Virtual Reality (VR) Headsets, software (Virtual Medical coaching; Radiography and Virtual Medicine; Anatomy), tablets, and personal computers (PCs) were used to collect data via pre and post-VR session self-administered questionnaires, which were analyzed using descriptive statistics.
