Abstract
Tuberculosis (TB) remains a significant public health concern in Indonesia. This study aimed to describe the utilization patterns of antituberculosis drugs (Obat Antituberkulosis, OAT) among outpatients with tuberculosis at the Sumberbaru Community Health Center, Jember Regency. A retrospective descriptive study was conducted involving 126 patients who received tuberculosis treatment between May and July 2026. Data were obtained from medical records, tuberculosis registers, and treatment cards and were analyzed descriptively. The findings indicated that most patients received first-line antituberculosis drugs in fixed-dose combinations (Kombinasi Dosis Tetap, KDT). Rifampicin 450 mg was recorded in 101 patients (80.2%), while rifampicin 150 mg was recorded in 23 patients (18.3%). Two patients (1.6%) received multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) treatment regimens. Regarding treatment phases, 63 patients (50.0%) were in the intensive phase (2HRZE), 61 patients (48.4%) were in the continuation phase (4HR), and two patients (1.6%) received longer-duration MDR-TB treatment. A six-month treatment duration was documented for 117 patients (92.9%). Overall, antituberculosis drug utilization at the Sumberbaru Community Health Center was generally consistent with national guidelines for the management of drug-susceptible tuberculosis.
