Is urine nitrite a reliable test for diagnosing or ruling out a urinary tract infection (UTI)?
By Tripdatabase.
Abstract
Urine nitrite tests are reliable for confirming UTIs when positive, but due to limitations such as false negatives, negative results cannot rule out the infection on their own. Further testing is needed for comprehensive diagnosis.
