Lineage Phenotyping Limits in a POLG D257A NMyc-Transplant Cohort
By Andrew Friedl.
Abstract
Background
Lower pooled leukemia-associated mortality need not identify the direction of every lineage-specific comparison when mixed and untyped phenotypes remain unresolved.
Objective
Determine which homozygous-versus-wild-type/heterozygous donor-group orderings remain identified in deposited POLG D257A NMyc-transplant recipients when pure-subtype and possible lineage-component endpoints are separated.
Methods
An exploratory finite-record reanalysis retained all 360 recipients in six groups from one source study. Death-with-phenotype cumulative incidence was calculated at 180 and exploratory 250 days using all-death risk sets. Pure-subtype envelopes allocated only confirmed untyped leukemia; component envelopes additionally allowed unspecified mixed leukemia to contain the target lineage. Recipient-to-donor/experiment linkage was unavailable; no sampling confidence intervals or biological significance tests were calculated.
