Abstract
A thermal camera, linked to a computer, watches the skin over both knees for ten minutes. There is notouching, no pressing and no X-ray. From the recording, the computer works out one wellness number foreach knee, the Left Knee Index and the Right Knee Index. Each number is compared only with the sameknee’s numbers from the person’s earlier yearly visits, and the gap between the two knees is comparedwith the person’s own first gap. From these numbers the computer decides a state and prints it, with noperson in between. The idea uses no AI and no training data. It is a wellness number, not a test for anydisease. It has been shown only on simulated sessions.
