In a septic patient who cannot be treated with dobutamine due to tachycardia, can digoxin be used as an inotrope?
By Tripdatabase.
Abstract
No direct evidence for using digoxin instead of dobutamine in septic patients with tachycardia was identified. Observational studies suggest digoxin might offer hemodynamic benefits in this context, but cautious interpretation and use are warranted.
