Is there randomized controlled trial evidence comparing the efficacy and safety of tPA versus aspirin in the treatment of acute ischemic stroke?
By Tripdatabase.
Abstract
Current evidence from systematic reviews and meta-analyses indicates no significant difference in functional outcomes between tPA and aspirin for minor strokes, with aspirin having a lower trend in symptomatic hemorrhage. However, direct RCTs specifically designed to compare these treatments in broader acute ischemic stroke populations are limited.
