Laboratory and clinical significance of evaluating hla sensitization in organ transplantation practice
By Vafoyeva Nodira.
Abstract
This paper examines the laboratory and clinical significance of assessing HLA sensitization before organ transplantation. It describes a Luminex-based approach to HLA antibody screening and further antibody specificity testing in recipients preparing for liver or kidney transplantation. Particular attention is given to the interpretation of laboratory findings, the assessment of donor–recipient immunological compatibility, and the selection of additional tests according to the recipient’s clinical risk profile.
