Infectious Diseases Associated with Skin Rashes in India: A Practical Differential Diagnosis of Measles, Rubella, Varicella, Mumps, Scarlet Fever, and Infectious Mononucleosis
By Abzhaparova A.Z..
Abstract
Fever with a rash is a common but clinically important presentation in India. The differential diagnosis ranges from self-limited viral exanthems to diseases requiring urgent isolation, antimicrobial treatment, pregnancy counselling, or outbreak response. This practical article compares measles, rubella, varicella, mumps, scarlet fever, and infectious mononucleosis, while emphasizing that these conditions are not the only causes of fever and rash
