Abstract
Objective
To compare the diagnostic performance of micro-ultrasound (mUS) versus multiparametric MRI (mpMRI) for identifying clinically significant prostate cancer (csPCa) in patients under active surveillance (AS). Methodology: We conducted a systematic review and diagnostic test accuracy meta-analysis following PRISMA-DTA and the Cochrane Handbook for Diagnostic Reviews. Five databases were searched on November 22, 2024. Studies were eligible if they directly compared mUS and mpMRI in AS patients and provided extractable 2×2 diagnostic data. Pooled sensitivity, specificity, diagnostic odds ratios (DOR), and area under the curve (AUC) were estimated using bivariate random-effects models.
