Edukasi Pemeriksaan MSCT Stonografi dan Pemanfaatan Teh Oolong sebagai Alternatif Media Kontras Negatif bagi Radiografer dan Mahasiswa Radiologi
By Lili Julia Rahmat.
Abstract
This Community Service (PKM) activity aims to provide education for radiographers and final-year radiology students regarding Multi-Slice Computed Tomography (MSCT) Stonography and the utilization of oolong tea as an alternative negative contrast medium to support ureter visualization. The activity is conducted online via Zoom on March 11, 2024, involving 30 participants. The method consists of interactive presentations, visual demonstrations, discussions, and question-and-answer sessions. The educational materials cover patient preparation and education, positioning, examination protocols, scanning and tracking procedures, Curved Planar Reconstruction (CPR), and the use of oolong tea in MSCT Stonography examinations. Evaluation is conducted descriptively based on participant involvement during discussions and question-and-answer sessions, without the use of pre-test and post-test assessments. As supporting data, 30 MSCT Stonography cases are analyzed to examine the association between oolong tea use and ureter visualization. The analysis shows a significant association in the visualization of the distal ureter (p = 0.000) and medial ureter (p = 0.001). Participants actively engaged in the activity, particularly during the discussion and question-and-answer sessions. This activity provided an educational and practical approach to strengthening understanding of MSCT Stonography examination techniques and introducing oolong tea as an alternative negative contrast medium to support ureter visualization.
