Partner, Family and Community Support as Protective Factors Against Depressive Symptoms in Pregnancy: A Systematic Literature Review (Bibliometric Analysis)
By M. G. Minadi Chathunima.
Abstract
Antenatal depression is a common maternal mental-health problem with consequences for women, infants, and families, and social support from partners, relatives, friends, communities, and health professionals is widely proposed as a protective resource. Because the evidence is dispersed across countries, measurement tools, and study designs, this systematic literature review (SLR) mapped and synthesised primary research on how social support relates to depressive symptoms during pregnancy, and described its publication trends, methods, geographical spread, collaboration patterns, and recurring themes. Following the PRISMA 2020 statement, records published from 2008 to 2026 were identified through PubMed and Google Scholar, supplemented by ResearchGate, Research Rabbit, DOI searching, and reference-list checking, and were managed in Zotero.
