By Srividhya Srinivasan.
Abstract
Dear Editor, Syzygium cumini (Jamun or black plum), a medicinal plant native to India, has gained increasing scientific interest for its pharmacological relevance in cancer chemoprevention.Emerging experimental evidence suggests that this plant possesses the ability to regulate key biological processes such as oxidative stress, inflammatory signalling and carcinogenic progression, thereby offering promising translational prospects in the fields of physiology and pharmacology.
