Abstract
During pregnancy, there will be changes in the mother both physiologically and psychologically. As the uterus grows older during pregnancy, the body's center of gravity shifts forward so that pregnant women must adjust their body posture. Approximately 65% of pregnant women in the third trimester experience back pain. Lower back pain is a common complaint felt by pregnant women, especially when entering the third trimester of pregnancy. This pain causes discomfort in pregnant women, therefore intervention is needed, one of which is pelvic rocking. This study aims to determine the application of pelvic rocking to reduce the intensity of back pain in pregnant women in the third trimester in the working area of the Teluk Belengkong Health Center, Indragiri Hilir Regency. The type of research is quantitative with a pre-experimental design with one group with pretest-posttest. The population is pregnant women in the third trimester and the sample is 17 people, sampling by purposive sampling. The research instrument is an observation sheet. Data analysis uses univariate and bivariate. The univariate results obtained pain in pregnant women in the third trimester before pelvic rocking mostly experienced mild pain levels of 76.5% and after pelvic rocking mostly experienced mild pain levels of 58.8%. The results of the study using the Wilcoxon statistical test showed a p-value of 0.001 < 0.05, which means that pelvic rocking is effective in reducing the intensity of back pain in pregnant women in the third trimester. It is hoped that the Teluk Belengkong Health Center, can improve services, especially in the field of care for pregnant women, to reduce pain for pregnant women in the third trimester.
