Abstract
Introduction
Dural arteriovenous fistulas (dAVFs) are uncommon intracranial vascular shunts whose clinical risk is determined largely by venous drainage, with cortical venous reflux conferring substantial hemorrhagic and neurologic morbidity. This study evaluated endovascular outcomes for complex intracranial dAVFs treated at a tertiary neurointerventional center in India.
Materials and methods
We retrospectively reviewed consecutive patients with intracranial dAVFs treated between January 2018 and December 2024. Inclusion criteria were diagnostic digital subtraction angiography, endovascular treatment at the reporting center, and complete procedural records. Treatment strategies included embolization with liquid embolic agents and/or coils via transarterial, transvenous, or combined approaches. The primary endpoint was immediate angiographic cure, defined as complete occlusion. Logistic regression was performed to explore predictors of complete occlusion.
