Résumé
This study aims to investigate the systemic hormonal responses following a bout of acute, submaximal cycling and running. About 10-12 young male regularly trained volunteers will perform a 30-minute cycling or running bout in a random order on different days at an intensity of 80% maximum heart rate (HRmax). Blood samples will be drawn immediately before and after exercise to determine serum or plasma levels of adiponectin, prolactin, TSH, T4, growth hormone (GH) and cortisol. During exercise subjective ratings of perceived exertion (RPE) and heart rates will be recorded. Diet and training will also be controlled before trials.
