Hoe je hem gebruikt

NPI = 0.2 × grootte (cm) + klierstadium + graad. Uit het pathologieverslag.

Prognostische groepen. Goed ≤3.4: laagste drempel voor adjuvante therapie. Slecht >5.4: maximale systemische therapie.

Aangevuld met moleculaire markers. ER/PR/HER2-status en Ki-67 en de Oncotype DX-recidiefscore verfijnen het risico verder.
Wanneer je hem gebruikt
- Besluit over adjuvante systemische therapie
- De NPI wordt naast Oncotype DX/Prosigna gebruikt bij het besluit over chemotherapie bij vroeg mammacarcinoom.
- Voorlichting van de patiënt
- Legt de prognose uit in termen van tumorbiologie.
- Bespreking in het MDO
- De NPI levert objectieve klinische input naast moleculaire profilering.
