Abstract
Objective
This study compares differences in bilateral hip isokinetic muscle strength between postpartum and nulliparous women, as well as between postpartum women with and without PGP (pelvic girdle pain).
Methods
This is a cross-sectional comparative study comprising two independent analyses. The first part included 40 postpartum women and 38 nulliparous women; the second part included 46 PGP women and divided into the PGP group (n=25) and the N-PGP group (n=21). All participants underwent bilateral hip joint isokinetic muscle strength testing at an angular velocity of 30°/s. Within-group and between-group comparisons were performed for PT (peak torque), relative PT, and PT ratios of active-to-antagonistic muscles.
