Résumé
Purpose
To evaluate patient-reported outcomes of the transtendinous repair technique for partial-thickness articular-sided tendon avulsions (PASTA) using patient-acceptable symptomatic state (PASS) thresholds.
Methods
Chart reviews included patients who underwent a transtendinous arthroscopic rotator cuff repair by a single surgeon for a high-grade PASTA from January 2007 to December 2020. Inclusion criteria included patients 18 years or older who underwent surgery to repair a partial-thickness articular-sided rotator cuff tear. Exclusion criteria included previous ipsilateral arthroscopic shoulder procedures, rheumatoid arthritis, and severe glenohumeral arthritis. Patient-reported outcome data, including Single Assessment Numeric Evaluation, American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons (ASES), and visual analog scale, were retrospectively collected, as well as demographic data. These values were compared with a previously reported PASS threshold.
