Résumé
PANDAS-like syndromes may rarely occur beyond childhood. Although these patients may meet criteria for PANS, recognizing a possible streptococcal-triggered subgroup remains important for diagnosis, future biomarker discovery, and refinement of disease classification. Clinicians should consider post-infectious autoimmune neuropsychiatric syndromes in older patients with abrupt-onset OCD or tics following pharyngeal illness.
