Résumé
Introduction
The prognosis and management of the difficult airway are of vital importance in anesthesiology.
Objective
To assess the usefulness of the Wilson scale in predicting difficult endotracheal intubation.
Method
An observational, descriptive, cross-sectional study was conducted at the “Celestino Hernández Robau” University Hospital in Santa Clara, Argentina. Of a population of 2,230, 630 patients who underwent elective or emergency surgical treatment with endotracheal general anesthesia between June 2021 and May 2023 were studied. The degree of intubation was assessed using individual variables and the Wilson and Lehane-Cormack scales.
