Febrile convulsion is the most prevalent convulsive disorder among children aged between 5 months to 6 years and can significantly reduce the quality of care provided. Aim of the study: Assess mother’s awareness regarding their children with febrile convulsion.

A descriptive analytical design was used to conduct this study.
The study would be carried out at the children outpatient clinic at Wadi-Elnatron Specialized Hospital affiliated to El beheira governorate. Sample: Purposive sample of 300 mothers accompanied with their children with febrile convulsion. Tools of data collection: three tools were used to collect the data.1st tool: An interviewing questionnaire includes two parts: part 1 socio demographic characteristics of mothers and their children characteristic, part 2 Mothers' knowledge about febrile convulsion, 2nd tool: Mothers’ reported practices to manage their children with febrile convulsion . 3rd tool: Medical record of children with febrile convulsion.
86% of the studied mothers had unsatisfactory knowledge level related to febrile convulsion and 40% of the studied mothers had unsatisfactory practices related to febrile convulsion.
There was statistically significant relation between total studied mother knowledge and their occupation, marital status. Additionally, there was statistically significant positive correlation between total mothers’ knowledge and total reported practice toward their children with febrile convulsion. Recommendations: Conduct nursing intervention programs to improve mothers' knowledge and practice regarding febrile convulsion.
